May 16th, 2016 – Collaborative Combative Drawing at Stanford University.
I was invited to work with the students from the Sculpture 1 & 2 class by the lecturer, and one of my favorite artists, Llewelynn Fletcher (Welly).
This worksop incorporated the themes “ACTION!” (thinking about sculpture’s relationship to the body, movement, participation and site) and “TAKE A STAND” (thinking about process in the illumination of something the students care about) that were being explored as project assignments by the students in the class.
I was honored to be invited to Welly’s class. Welly and her students were thoughtful and engaged, and fully stepped up to the challenge of the drawing activity.
